4. Body Paragraph 3	They then ate it, and someone said it was disgusting. Looked like Inez was going to spew. We all knew it was fake. Most of them them found it really easy

How disgusting. Today our teacher introduced the Fear Factor to us. Maggots, Bugs, Rat hair chips and blood. Our version was just as bad, Pond Scum water and frog eggs, ewwwww. Four contestants and only one winner, who will it be. Eat it as fast as you can, first one to swallow. Am I the only one who has a crazy teacher?

Market Day!

WALT:Write an interesting and detailed recount.

Team four’s market day was awesome! On the eleventh of September, Team four had a huge market day. We sold our products to kids in our team. We also advertised and brought products. Everyone had PTS and Pieces to buy what they wanted. By the way PTs and Pieces are the team four currency. If you have 1 PT you double it in NZ dollars, 1 PT equals 2 dollars. We had a market for this terms topic Trade and Enterprise. Earlier this term we had a trade fair for our topic. It was amazing.

Weeks before the actual market day we prepared and got ready for it. In our team there are six business’. In our business’ there were smaller groups. Our six business’ are, Kitchen, Homeware, Jewelry and accessories, Custom Stationery, Musical Instruments and Toys. Each group made there own little products to sell. My group had decided to create and design our own book covers to share with everyone in Team Four.

When I was time to have our market we had to set up our store. In the year six block the groups that were in there were, Homeware, Custom Stationery and Musical Instruments. The groups in the year five block were Toys and Jewelry and accessories. On the porch were the Kitchen group. It was chaos, there were teachers setting up, kids wandering around and even kids been lazy.       

Selling in the beginning wasn’t that good for me and my group. Me and my business sold 9 book covers and made 22 PT and 50 pieces. Once we were there for a while we got the hang of advertising and selling products. We also sold 5 generic ones too. I absolutely hated selling, it was so boring. When I was trying to sell all I was yelling out was “Maths book covers, 2PT and 50 pieces. We also had a poster which kind of helped us to get customers attention.

Before the market I with drawed 10 PT. With my 10 PT I bought tons of things. Buying things is my favorite thing. At the market bought loombands, slime, chocolate fudge, a candle and even a drum. Shopping was my favorite part of the market. Unfortunately at the end of the market I spilt my slime. But I still had lots of fun.

Our market day was magnificent.  I bet all of the kids had lots of fun buying and selling products. The group I enjoyed the most was Toys. They had some amazing stuff. I also loved the Kitchen group. They had some delicious food. I would LOVE to have another market day. Overall my group made 35 PT. Everything was amazing.

Task Description: Our task was to write a recount that is interesting and detailed. We had to write a recount about our market we had last week. It was amazing. I learnt about how to write good recounts and make them hook the reader in.

Task Description:Our task was to complete the conjunctions doc. We were given a task to highlight all of the conjunctions on task 1 then on task 2 we we had to write our own conjunctions. I learnt some new conjunctions and how to put them in a sentence.

If I had a million dollars!

WALT:Write effective paragraphs using juicy and exciting words

Having a million dollars would be awesome. If I had one day to spend a million dollars at the mall I would be extremely delighted. I could buy whatever I would dream of having, an IPhone 6, PS4, clothes and obviously SHOES!

If I had the chance to buy whatever I want at Toyworld the first few things that came to my mind were:Nerf guns, sports equipment and a gigantic minion. I would buy every single Nerf gun they had. I would also buy all of the sports gear I need for this year and  can’t forget my enormous minion. The reason I would buy these items is because first of all Nerf guns are awesome, sports gear are needed and a giant minion just for fun.

Having a million dollars at Footlocker would be fascinating! I could buy 10 pairs of Nikes, 10 pairs of Jordans, 10 pairs of Timberlands and 10 pairs of Adidas . I would also buy some clothing as well. I would buy all these shoes and clothes because they are my favorite things, you know, girls love shoes and clothes, isn’t that right girls?  

IPhone, PS4, Xbox 1, headsets, speakers how better does it get. If I had a million dollars at JB Hifi I would buy:IPhone 6 , PS4, Xbox 1, headsets, speakers, a new T.V and more. The reason I would buy these items is because I love playing video games, I love phones (especially IPhones and Samsungs) and the headsets, speakers and T.V for my PS4 and Xbox 1 (in my dreams...my dreams will come true) .  

Buying 10 pairs of Nikes would be extremely awesome, however if I was to be responsible I would spend my money on much needed things. I would pay all of the bills for my family, buy a new house and I would love to donate money to the World Vision. I would also donate some money to KidsCan for kids who don’t have lunch, clothes and shoes. With my extra’ money I would buy some groceries for my family and maybe put the leftover money from that into each member of my family’s bank.

How cool is Super Mario World?

Walt:Write effective paragraphs.

Yay I made it up to level three, thats right i’m talking about Super Mario World, Super Mario World is a really popular side scrolling game. It is played on most digital devices including your netbook. It was even played when your parents were kids on things like the first Nintendo ,Gameboy and more.

The aim of the game is to beat most of the levels. Part of the aim of the game is to collect the mushrooms, the mushrooms are in a mystery box. In this game there are little  creatures that are the enemies, if you are walking and you don’t kill the enemy you will crumble into pieces. The enemies are like evil devils that are guards.

The main character of the game is Mario, Mario is from the country of Italy. He wears denim overalls with a red T-Shirt underneath, Mario also wears a red hat that has the letter M on it. In the game Mario can run, jump, he even grows when he eats mushrooms. He also can jump on his enemies to kill them and when he dies he crumbles into pieces.  

To play this game you will have to have a keyboard. The arrow pointing up is to jump and the arrow on your right is how you run. The arrow to your left is to turn around and the last arrow is the arrow that makes you come down off high things like the steps. To kill the enemies you have to jump on them, that makes them crumble.

I would give this game a thumbs up because it’s a tricky but fun game, my dislike is that when you eat the mushroom you have to stand there for a few seconds, that makes it easier for the enemies to kill you . I would recommend this game because it’s a very enjoyable game, it can make you angry but when you pass all the levels you will be the master. I enjoyed this game because it was quite fun, I did get a bit angry but in the end it was a really cool game.

Task Description:Our task was to write effective paragraphs using juicy vocab and punctuation. We wrote in silence, each sentence took about three minutes each. We would write a paragraph in silence and then share with the class. Each paragraph took about twelve minutes but we had a extra minute to think

I learnt about how to write interesting effective paragraphs. I also learnt that working in silence is a bit better for me because when I am not in silence I tend to chat a lot. Working in silence worked for me because I got everything done.

Task: This week for reading we got the task to choose a sport and give information about it. We had to work as a group to achieve this task. I learnt that doing something in a group works better. 

Three pigs, Two Murdered & One Survives.

Walt: write a news style report Byline:Tuesday 13 May 2015, Venetia Joyce, Pt England. Two little pigs have recently been killed by a violent wolf after their mother kicked them out of her house. The two pigs were killed brutally in their own homes. The third brother has survived, as he was smart enough to trap and burn the wolf. Unfortunately the first two pigs built homes out of materials that were not strong enough. The first pig built a house out of straw, the wolf blew his house down and ate him. The second pig made a house out of sticks and wood, his house was not strong enough so the wolf blew his house down and eat him too. The third pig managed to survive.  The wolf huffed and puffed and tried to blow the third pig's house down but his house was too heavy because it was made out of brick. When the wolf was climbing down the chimney the pig made a trap. He got a pot of water and put it on the fire to boil. When the wolf fell down into the water he was killed and burnt. Mama pig, do you regret kicking your children out? Well I do but they were old enough to look after there self. I feel really guilty. Mama pig, Would you ever let your children live with you again? Yes I would , Just to keep them safe ish. How would you react if the wolf turned up to your house? I would be really scared because my house isn’t strong enough. He would probably eat me . How do you feel about your younger brothers dying? I feel really sad because they could of come in my house. I am really upset for the loss of my loved ones. Task Description:The task was to write a news report about the three little pigs. We had to write a the first part about the main facts about the story.Then we had to write two paragraphs one about the two first pigs murders and the third pigs survival. The last part is a interview to the mama pig.

Last week Mr Wiseman a year 7 & 8 teacher from Pt England school,  Glen Innes had a special welcoming to his family. Wiseman had been away from school for days due to the welcoming of his new baby. He had a newborn baby girl named Ailah (spelling may vary).

Description:The task was write a news article about Mr Wisemans new baby girl.  We had to do Who, What, Where , When and Why.

Immersion Assembly

Walt: write a detailed introduction with hook and orientation.

Have you ever seen your teacher in a video game of superheroes? Well today we had our second immersion assembly of the year, this terms topic is Tinkering, Tools and Toys. Read on for more information.   

It was time to go to our immersion assembly, we lined up outside. As we started to walk in to the hall I saw that the teachers were baking. Iisa was also flying a drone helicopter that was controlled by Mr Burts phone, isn't that interesting. We then sat down in our class lines. The teachers and prefects started to hand out the food. Then Mr Burt started to talk about our new Topic and Term, Tinkering Tools and Toys. This term is all about T’s.

The teams then started to do there items. It started with Team 1. Team 1’s topic was healthy body, healthy park and healthy food. When Team 1’s movie was playing they started to hand out food such as carrots, sandwiches and more. Its time for Team 2. Team 2’s topic was about Winnie the Pooh. It was when Eeyore did not like his house any more so Piglet, Winnie and Tigger then tried to think of a solution about how to fix Eeyores house.

 Team 3 coming up. It was time for team three to do there item. There item was something about minions. The team 3 teachers were in minion suits. Team 4’s turn. Team 4’s topic is Wet lunch games and how we can make them better. We have to create an animation of somebody in a video game. Yes what can make wet lunch games better? Video games. Time for Team 5, Team 5’s topic is about Army and How we can make things better for Team 5.

 Then it was Mr Barks turn. Mr Barks made a hovercraft. A hovercraft is a plastic circle that you sit on, then you blow air. First Mr Barks showed us what it was. He then got Mr Somerville to have a turn. Mr Somerville was having fun I bet. 

 I think our immersion assembly was very interesting because they were doing extra things. The assembly made me think of what I can do better, and how will I make it better. Over all the assembly was very cool and interesting.

Description:My task was to write a recount about our immersion assembly. We were to write a detailed intro on the first day then the next two days we had to finish of the rest. We were to write 3 or 4 body paragraphs , an intro and a conclusion.
